Policy management software adopted at London Borough of Merton to comply with Data Protection Legislation.

London Borough of Merton has purchased Metacompliance user awareness and policy management software to improve the adoption of internal policies and procedures. The software will mean the Council can easily produce management reports which evidence the fact that their staff have read, understood and accepted policies created around current Data Protection directives.

Speaking about their decision to implement an automated approach to user awareness and policy management, Head of IT Service Delivery Richard Warren explained:
“We needed a way to ensure staff could find time in their busy schedules to read, understand and confirm Merton’s policies and procedures.  It was essential for us to have reliable management information confirming rates of user acceptance so that we can plan and target awareness-raising messages.  We had been looking at MetaCompliance for some time, and we are confident that it will be easy to use, and will be flexible and scalable enough to meet our present and future compliance needs.”

Speaking on behalf of Metacompliance, CEO Robert O’Brien added:
