Baronscourt shares I.T Security stage with Forrester and Microsoft

Delegates in Scotland had the opportunity this month to listen to an impressive line up of industry experts and I.T Security specialists. The executive seminar entitled “The Business Implications of IT Security” had Forrester Research as keynote speaker. The event was led by Thomas Raschke, Senior Security Analyst at Forrester. The same event was also held in Dublin on the same week.

Also speaking at this IT Security exchange were Microsoft and Citrix who provided valuable insights into how these organisations are helping their customers harden their security posture. As the I.T Security challenges faced by most organisations show no signs of abating, the impact of a security incident continues to increase in cost and damaging media coverage.

Attendees also received briefings on the topical area of identity management and insider threat from RSA and Baronscourt. Securewave gave an overview of their solution for USB device management.

“The event was pretty relevant to us and confirmed our view that IT Security is a constantly evolving issue”, said John Monroe, Security and Compliance manager with Oculan Corporate Finance. “We liked the opportunity to speak to the upcoming Security companies like SecureWave and Baronscourt as well as the large ones like Microsoft”.
