Harry, Niall and emmm the other ones? May have went their separate ways but we continue to celebrate their legacy with One Direction day. One Direction is a quarterly meeting where everyone from each department and office comes together to ensure we are all moving in the same direction. Get it?
We begin with a keynote address from Robbie O’Brien, our CEO who talks us through the company’s humble beginnings in a small flat with three staff in the Northland Road in Derry and our journey to opening multiple office locations across the globe.
The latest being our venture to North America and the opening of an Atlanta office and the move to a bigger location in Derry to accommodate for our trebling of staff in the area. Our innovation in cyber security, compliance and data privacy has helped us scale and develop products that have not been developed anywhere else.
The MetaCompliance mission is set out as a three-pronged approach:
1) Keep staff save online
2) Help secure digital assets
3) Protect reputation.
To help us achieve this mission, we are moving more and more towards the cloud.
Although legacy products still make up a substantial part of our business, we are adopting a cloud first approach. This approach gives us scale, reach and nimbleness. We now host most of our product offering on the cloud, alongside the option to have some of the suite on premise.
By working with Microsoft Azure cloud, we can ensure each cloud solution is easily integrated with the others.
We also explored how we now use a worldwide network of servers to store our content. The Content Delivery Network now sees the content accessible from 60 locations across the globe, meaning that regardless of where our clients are in the world they can be sure they’ll get their content fast.
This cloud functionality means we can have a best in class suite of products that can be hosted on cloud, and easily enables organisations to become cyber aware and compliant under one roof. At One Direction we also discussed our latest cloud-based product – MetaPrivacy.
We went through our latest offering and how it is automation software for privacy programmes with a focus on the upcoming European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Here is a brief product breakdown of the core functionality:
- Uses a system of surveys to collate information about Personal Data processing activities.
- The registers form the basis of the GDPR program that a company wants to undertake
- The registers allow companies to manage risks related to GDPR
- The registers form the basis of the GDPR program that a company wants to undertake.
New products, global expansion, and plenty of new hires. It’s been a crazy first half of the year and we are very much looking forward to more of the same for the second half.
