As military conflict mounts between Ukraine and Russia, so too do fears of unprecedented cyber attacks. To enhance employee vigilance in light of the greatly increased threat landscape, global cyber security specialist, MetaCompliance, has announced the launch of a new eLearning series.

The eLearning series educates and empowers employees on how to recognise and respond to common cyber threats.

The title ‘Ukrainian Crisis – Updated Employee Cyber Awareness’ is the first release in the series and is available in 17 languages, including French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and German.

The release comes as a result of customer demand for staff cyber awareness training relating to the Russian-Ukraine crisis.

The escalating conflict in Ukraine has changed the risk posture of many organisations across the globe. Warnings and advisories have been published, alerting companies to expect an increased threat of cyber attacks.

In the UK, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) continues to call on organisations to bolster their online defences.

Increased global tensions have also led many InfoSec leaders to increase their threat level posture as criminal gangs continue to take opposing positions on the war in Ukraine. This is especially true for employee behaviours that need to be reinforced at this time to reduce the attack surface.

With the cyber threat heightened, it is more important than ever for organisations to embed a culture of cyber awareness. The eLearning series acts as an engaging reminder that cybercriminals will resort to attack vectors, such as compromised credentials, phishing, social engineering and malware to exploit vulnerabilities and sabotage an organisation’s defences.

MetaCompliance CEO, Robert O’Brien, commented “As the heightened security threat continues to escalate, organisations must mitigate the risk of cyber attacks by educating employees and increasing their cyber resilience.

To support organisations, MetaCompliance has released updated cyber awareness training videos that focus on how staff can protect themselves and their organisation from Russian cyber attacks. These short, bite-sized Nanos will help equip staff with all the information needed to detect a potential threat and empower them to stay cyber-safe.”

This Nano will be the first of several training videos within the eLearning series to ensure that the increased threat level stays top of mind for users.
