Following the publication of Cyber Security Awareness For Dummies, MetaCompliance CEO, Robert O’Brien has appeared as the latest guest on the award-winning Smashing Security podcast.

Hosted by computer security veterans Graham Cluley and Carole Theriault, Smashing Security invites Cyber Security thought leaders to discuss the latest industry news and share insight on the evolving Cyber Security landscape.

In 2018 and 2019 the podcast was named the Best Security Podcast at the prestigious Security Blogger Awards held in London.

In the latest episode, Robert O’Brien discusses the release of the new ‘Cyber Security Awareness For Dummies’ book, published in partnership with Wiley and offers a best practice approach to implementing a Cyber Security awareness program.

Robert O’Brien, award-winning Cyber Security thought leader and Cyber Security Awareness For Dummies Author, said, “Over the past 12 years, MetaCompliance has developed a wealth of experience helping clients develop and implement staff Cyber Security awareness programs that work. Organisations recognise the need to implement a cyber awareness plan, but it can be difficult to know where to start. We knew that there was a real need to create a definitive playbook for changing Cyber Security culture.”

Throughout the interview, Robert O’Brien speaks about the challenges of changing organisational security culture, the resources required for an effective Cyber Security campaign, and implementing sustainable behaviour change in the workplace.

Speaking about Cyber Security Awareness For Dummies, Carole Theriault commented, “It is totally focused on how a company can help get employees onboard to be safer and help protect the company and themselves.”
