It’s been a busy 2018 so far here at MetaCompliance, with the introduction of several fresh faces to the team. Due to continued growth, additional staff were required across the company in various departments to help achieve our goal in developing our worldwide sales and market presence.
In the space of three months we have grown substantially, hiring over 20 people. In the coming weeks we will be introducing you to the latest team members, so let’s get to know the latest Compliancers a little bit better.
Amy Melaugh
Sales Development Representative
Amy is a graduate of Ulster University, with a Bachelor of Arts – BA, English with Psychology.
Formerly Amy was a Technical Support Analyst in Allstate NI. “This is where I gained most of my telephone-based experience. I then moved up within my role to Hardware support where I dealt directly with all computer issues hardware and software related. I then moved on to becoming a Customer Service Advisor in Santander.”
“My new job role entails having a thorough understanding of MetaCompliance’s, award winning Integrated Cloud Based Awareness Platform and information Security Awareness. This then allows me to contact various organisations and businesses to convey the importance and value of what we have to offer and potentially secure a meeting for our Enterprise Sales Team. This role is very competitive, and target driven, which allows me to push myself further in order to do well within the company with a lot of opportunities to progress.”
An interesting fact about Amy? She has a vast, somewhat unhealthy, knowledge of all things Harry Potter related.
Hugh Maguire
Sales Development Representative
Hugh, who is originally from Birmingham, attended Queen’s University Belfast for three years, graduating with a 2.1 in History.
As a Sales Development Representative, Hugh will work amongst his team members, by ringing and emailing a whole host of contacts trying to arrange demonstrations with them in order to showcase and highlight our services and our cloud platform’s effectiveness and slick format.
“I’m from Birmingham (home of the PEAKY BLINDERS), I used to write for a newspaper called The Irish World in Great Britain, I’ve been to South Africa to teach disadvantaged children numeracy, literacy, science and physical education skills, I’ve played Gaelic Football in Croke Park, and I have played Gaelic Football in Birmingham since the age of 12 and captained my club and county at U14, U16 & minor level winning numerous All-Britain inter-club and county championships. My work has been published in an academic article, I’ve done countless hours volunteering and helping people to actively engage with and participate in sport.”
Keith Robinson
Channel Manager
Keith started his career in IT when he worked with Singularity as an Apprentice Systems Engineer. However, Keith has spent the last 13 years in the Insurance industry working his way from sales to senior management. In his new role at MetaCompliance Keith will work alongside Andy McCathie, delivering growth through a global channel program.
In his spare time, Keith is a fan of techno music, cars and water sports. “I’ve DJ’d for local events including Jika Jika and I have worked on and re-built my own and friends cars since I started driving. With this I have had two magazine features. I have also recently started kneeboarding and wakeboarding.”
Orlaith Logue
Training and Support Co-ordinator
Orlaith graduated in June 2017 with 2:1 in Liberal Arts with History from St Mary’s University College Belfast. In her previous job, Orlaith worked as a Coach for Derry & Strabane District Council and as a Clerical Officer for Western Health & Social Care Trust.
“My role at MetaCompliance involves delivering comprehensive training & awareness services on the organisation’s products, I will be speaking to prospect customers and showing them how to navigate about the website.”
“Every weekend I coach Gaelic football for children at my local football club. When I’m not coaching GAA I’m watching it”.
Roisin Mooney
Marketing Administrator
Roisin is a graduate from Ulster University, with a BSc Hons in Business Information Systems. Roisin wore a few hats in her previous role at Sync NI working as a Marketing Assistant and Business Executive during her time there as a placement student, and again as a graduate. Roisin joins the marketing team at MetaCompliance at an exciting time as we double our workforce to 102 in 2019 and grow our business across the UK, Europe and the US.
“I instantly fell in love with the world of marketing when I was at University. My degree – a combination of computing and business opened many doors for me, but marketing is really where I have a passion. The rapid growth of digital technology and the move away from traditional to digital marketing fascinates me. There really is something new to learn every day.” In her spare time Roisin likes to catch up on her favourite reality tv shows is known to do a bit of too much online shopping.
Charlene O’Donnell
Graphic Design (Placement Student)
Charlene is currently on her Work Placement from LYIT (Letterkenny Institute of Technology & Design) where she is studying an Honours Degree in Visual Communication & Graphic Design.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and don’t want it to end! I’m learning new skills every week and enjoying the transition from school to work, putting what I’ve learnt so far into practice within a business.” Her passion for fashion inspired her to take the next step and go back to school to enter the world of Graphics. Charlene enjoys travelling and likes to keep fit.
Andy McCathie
Head of Channel Partners
Andy McCathie is the new MetaCompliance Head of Channel Partners and is based out of our offices in the UK. Andy will be responsible for driving the Channel partner strategy and execution of the entire portfolio of MetaCompliance software.
Andy has previously worked with a number of large Systems Integration and IT Companies including Calyx, Intergraph, Cap Gemini and more recently Rolta. He has extensive experience in developing and leading successful sales & marketing teams. His experience includes extensive ‘hands on’ expertise and proven success leading strategy and transitioning organisations looking to move into new technology areas.
Andy is a qualified Aeronautical Engineer and graduated in both Electrical and Electronic engineering from Oxford Brookes University and a MBA from Leicester University, United Kingdom. Andy enjoys travelling and keeping fit and has a passion for Martial Arts where he recently spent 6 months in Northern China practising Tai Chi. He is married and has 2 children and lives in Wiltshire.
